Providing independent, expert design support on planning policies and applications
We support the development of planning policies and offer guidance on site appraisals and assist with development briefs for major sites. We support the development control teams and planning committees by providing independent, consistent design advice at pre & post-application stages through short desktop design quality assessments and full design reviews.
At the early stages of the design process, or when key issues need to be resolved, we offer half and full day informal design workshops to support the design team and accelerate design development. We also supplement capacity through 1 or 2 day per week secondments of urban designers, periodic informal review sessions of current applications or direct support from members of our team or network as and when needed.
