Spaceshaper and Spaceshaper 9-14 Facilitator Training

Who would benefit from attending this course?

This course is aimed at local authority officers, RSL’s, architects, urban designers, planners, community groups and staff from other organisations with an interest in engaging community groups and young people in place.

Training outcomes

The training enables attendees to plan and deliver Spaceshaper and/or Spaceshaper 9-14 workshops. Attendees are also given access to the Spaceshaper and/or Spaceshaper 9-14 materials and resources including the online software, questionnaire and Toolkit.

Training attendees learn how to:
- Facilitate engaging community workshops
- Gather constructive views from stakeholders, space managers and community groups
- Assess the quality of a space
- Collect evidence to support the need for change
- Lead groups in prioritising change in their area
- Monitor the quality of a space over time
