Chatham Historic Dockyard’s No 1 Smithery, the conversion of a key building to provide galleries and storage for the unique collection of maritime models, art and other objects, has attracted widespread acclaim for the building, designed by a team led by Architects Van Heyningen & Haward.
Back in 2003, KAC played an important role in the very early stages of the project, preparing a Feasibility Study and supporting Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust in the process of developing the brief and commissioning a high calibre design team.
