Medway Schools’ built environment education programme

Journey to Learn uses students’ journeys from home to school as the starting point and context for project work.  It uses a wide range of media, which might include drawing, photography, video, audio, mapping, poetry, narrative, 3D models and survey.

Journey to Learn is one of a number of projects within the emerging UniverCities initiative which is developing links and joint projects between Councils and their local Universities, in this case Medway Council and University of Greenwich.

J2L projects were developed in five Medway schools and from these projects an exhibition and resource pack were developed to share the ideas with other schools.
