Ashford Skyline Study

This study of the urban form from a number of key access points to the centre of the town, provides forward planners and development controllers with basic information on the importance of the skyline and helps guide developers when producing proposals for taller structures.  The highly illustrated document indicates the important elements of the skyline that should be retained or enhanced, without being too prescriptive on height limits.

This study shows the importance of the roofscape and skyline of this historic centre and will pave the way for a height strategy for development in key areas of the town centre and help avoid some of the less successful larger schemes that were built in the past.
