Anglo-French Affordable Housing Programme

This design competition and research project was part of the body of housing related activities that the Centre has engaged in to influence and support the quality of new housing developments in the South East.  The aim of the programme was to understand better practice in design and procurement from French and UK architects working together on live sites in and around London and Paris.  The information gathered through this programme is helping develop better practice by challenging technical misconceptions and encouraging earlier engagement of prospective residents.

Partners include:  CABE, their French equivalent, DAPA, and The Housing Corporation in partnership with Octavia Housing and Care and Warden Housing Association

Housing Association partners, Octavia Housing and Care, have won awards for the site developed as part of this programme.
